Four photographs. One film.
- The brief
- Nike had the campaign stills for Back to School. The film budget had gone on the shoot. They still needed a hero film for the launch week.
- What came back
- The stills became the cast, the wardrobe and the location. A human creative director wrote the shot list, set the pace and chose every cut. The track, the trophy cabinet and the lockers were built around the photographs, and the kids in the film are the kids in the pictures, product exact.
- Why it works
- The film is not a slideshow of the shoot. It is what the shoot would have become if a director and a crew had stayed on for another day. The direction is the difference.
